UCL 2023: Manchester City vs. Red Star Belgrade in Epic Champions League 2023 Clash

Manchester City will be back in Champions League 2023 action this Tuesday as they welcome Red Star Belgrade to town.

Pep Guardiola finally achieved his third Champions League title win last season after two successful years at Barcelona, and in the final, Rodri scored the only goal to give City the edge over Inter Milan.

City have had a strong start to their Premier League campaign and look set to make it three titles in a row. Last time out, Doku opened his City account and Haaland added another goal, taking his Premier League tally to seven in five games.

The Norwegian was the top scorer in the Champions League last season, netting 12 goals on the way to the final – including a stunning five-goal performance against RB Leipzig in a 7-0 win.

Guardiola is without Kevin De Bruyne until January due to a hamstring injury, and Mateo Kovacic, John Stones and Jack Grealish are also unavailable for this one, so Doku is likely to start again alongside Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias in defence.

Red Star Belgrade sit third in the Serbian SuperLiga, having lost two of their seven matches so far.

Last season, they were undefeated in the league, winning 30 of their 37 matches, and they have already scored 21 goals from the seven matches this season, finding the net in every single game.
