Garnacho was the problem, Ten Hag reveal his Man United woes at Bournemouth 2:2

Manchester United boss Ten Hag claims that Alejandro Garnacho was the problem in the first half and he had to sub him so that they could get a win at Bournemouth.

The 2-2 draw between Manchester United and Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday night stretched United’s Premier League losing streak to four matches.

United fell down to an early goal by Dominic Solanke after 16 minutes, but Bruno Fernandes levelled the score soon after halftime with a close-range shot. But five minutes later, Justin Kluivert gave Bournemouth the lead again.

United were second best for extended stretches, but they equalised with a second goal from Fernandes in the 65th minute. Kobbie Mainoo’s shot struck an arm inside the area, and the Portuguese international calmly executed the penalty.

But when Ryan Christie went down, Bournemouth argued for their own penalty in the final minutes. Nonetheless, video assistant referee Willy Kambwala was able to stop him outside the penalty area.

United have dropped to sixth place in the Premier League, ten points behind Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur, although they secured a point in their most recent match.

Ten Hag said, “Players gave everything, their maximum. But some of them are young, inexperienced, and it’s difficult to do it game after game in the Premier League.”

“It’s difficult, but they have to deal with it. Garnacho had a problem coming out at halftime? No.”
