On Monday, when the Argentine manager gets his first official day in his new position, the Mauricio Pochettino era at Chelsea will at long last start going in the right direction. Chelsea Ticket value increases on the first day at Stamford Bridge.
Last month, Chelsea officially announced the hiring of the former Tottenham manager. This came after months of growing rumours that he would be the one to fill the position.
Pochettino’s appointment has seemed like it has taken a while, but it is almost finished, and Chelsea supporters are expecting news from him soon.
The 51-year-old has yet to begin working on the practice pitch and hasn’t given any club interviews to the press since being hired, but that’s going to improve.
According to The Evening Standard, his employment agreement technically starts on Saturday (1 July), although he won’t start working at Cobham until Monday (3 July).
There will still be a large number of first-team players absent even when Pochettino starts his new job on Monday since everyone who participated in the most recent international competitions has been assigned a delayed return date.
However, the new manager will be eager to get players back as soon as possible because he only has six weeks to train his team until the start of the Premier League season on August 13 against Liverpool.
Though he hasn’t started working at Chelsea’s training facility yet, the newly appointed manager has been in touch with the club’s co-sporting directors as the transfer process moves along.
Much of the activity so far has been offloading players, with the likes of Ruben Loftus Cheek, Webster, Kai Havertz, Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Matteo Kovacic, and N’Golo Kante, among others, moving on while Christopher Nkunku has come in.
