Victor Osimhen, the Napoli star, dedicates his nomination for the 2023 Ballon d’Or to God and promises to work hard to achieve all his dreams, declaring it “just the beginning”.
The Nigeria international is one of four Serie A players included in France Football’s 30-man shortlist.
While on international duty with Nigeria, Victor Osimhen expressed his feelings to Football Fans Tribe, saying, “It feels good for this achievement; it was a childhood dream to be there among the best.
” I thank those who have been supporting me, my family, and my friends. I am happy and dedicate this to God. This is just the beginning. I’ll work hard to make sure I achieve all my dreams.”

Additionally, the striker has scored three goals in the opening three Serie A games of the season and shared about his rapport with Nigerian fans, saying, “It’s important to socialise with those who have been important to me.
“All the Nigerians have been supporting me through good and hard times. Everyone has been supporting not just me but all the Nigerian players around the world.
“I spent my holiday here, and it was important to do this. I don’t think I’ve changed. I just want to be happy and socialise with these people who make sure we are on top of our game and give our very best. It’s important for me to try to socialise with them and just be happy and enjoy life.”
